Why is improving blood circulation in our body so important and how can we
achieve it?

One of the main pillars for achieving and maintaining an excellent state of health is proper blood circulation.
A healthy body is essentially one in which the various organs function properly.
For their proper functioning, the organs need oxygen. Since oxygen is supplied through the blood that reaches the various organs through the vessels, it is extremely important that the blood flow in our body is unhindered and continuous.
Proper blood flow keeps the body healthy, helps in faster wound healing, keeps our brain active and gives a healthy appearance to our skin.

So how can we improve blood circulation?
The truth is that we can do a lot to improve the blood flow in our body. Medicine may have evolved greatly in recent years and give us solutions even when we have “noticed” to some extent, but prevention and adopting “healthy” behaviors protect us much more effectively.
For example:
1) Drinking black and green tea: These teas contain antioxidants, which can help increase the width of blood vessels and help the body pump blood more efficiently.
2) Cardiovascular exercise: Exercises such as walking, running or cycling and stretching can strengthen our circulatory system.
3) Avoid smoking: Smoking restricts oxygen from reaching organs and tissues and inhibits blood flow, which in turn damages the walls of blood vessels and can even lead to accumulated atherosclerotic plaque on the walls.
4) Take iron supplements: People with anemia should take iron supplements in their daily lives (after consulting with their doctor). Iron supplements improve the number of red blood cells in our blood.
5) Take fatty acids in the diet: Omega-3 fatty acids in the diet can help improve blood circulation (e.g. tuna, sardines and salmon).
6) Compression stockings: Compression stockings tend to compress the legs, helping the blood vessels (veins, lymphatic vessels) to push blood through the body towards the heart. They are therefore useful in reducing swelling and can benefit women in pregnancy or patients with venous insufficiency.
7) Special nutritional advice : For example, cayenne pepper can help reduce blood pressure and stimulate the release of vasodilators such as nitric oxide, which will help promote blood flow. Also fruits such as pomegranate and citrus fruits
can reduce inflammation in the body by reducing stiffness in the arteries and improving blood flow.
