Classic
methods
The classic "open" vascular surgery methods are the ones that have developed and established the specialty of vascular surgery and are the ones to which basically all new methods are being compared to, when they make their appearance, as medicine and technology evolve. In general, their application is never incorrect or obsolete when the correct indication is present, but their scope has now been limited and is essentially identified with the field of contraindications of endovascular methods. Simply put, when we cannot apply an endovascular solution (known as "stent" or "balloon"), open surgery is almost always technically possible if its danger is reasonable and the patient's biological reserves good enough.
Endovascular surgical methods (known as " stent" or " balloon" ) include a wide range of techniques that correct a vessel damage from its interior (its lumen). There are also minimal invasive methods because with very small incisions in vessels that are easily accessible, lesions are corrected even in areas where vessel surgery is laborious. This achieves faster mobilization of the patient and his faster exit from the clinic. Although they are not applicable in all cases, intravaginal methods give many of vascular diseases.

Hybrid
methods
In some cases there are two or more vessel diseases at the same time in a patient who cannot be treated entirely endovascular. In many of these cases the hybrid method . It is essentially a combination of classic and endovascular methods.
A special category of veins that are treated very effectively in this way is the spider veins or small varicose veins . Sclerotherapy hardening drugs into their lumen. No anesthesia is not required and treatment is done in sessions in the office. The infusion of the hardener essentially causes an irreversible chemical trauma of the endothelium (ie the inner wall of the veins), thereby closing their lumen.

Vascular
access
A very important chapter of vascular surgery is the creation of vascular accesses for dialysis . These are patients with end -stage kidney failure where their kidneys work little to no and cannot "cleanse" blood from toxic substances.
In these cases, an vascular access is necessary that will ensure the "cleaning" of large volumes of blood in a relatively short period of time, ensures the patient a good quality of life without complications and will have as long as possible over time.
