Hybrid Treatment Methods
In some cases, there are two or more vascular diseases in a patient that cannot be treated entirely endovascularly. In many of these cases, the hybrid method. Essentially, it is a combination of classical and endovascular methods.
This is how a vascular disease in an area is treated with the classic open method where the vessel is opened to be cleaned and balloon catheters and/or stents are inserted through this vessel to repair a lesion that is located much further away from the surgical field.
The advantage of this combination is the greatly reduced surgical trauma, the treatment of two or more vascular lesions in one session, and the faster recovery of the patient.
